This management training comprises three full training days, each spaced approximately four weeks apart, in order that delegates can consolidate their learning and put action points from each session into practice before the next scheduled training day.

  • Leadership skills to develop your potential; achieving the objectives and keeping people on board
  • Planning, organising and prioritising – the process; managing time and tasks effectively; delegating effectively to your team
  • Monitoring how your team is doing; keeping yourself and your manager informedWorkshop 2  
  • Getting the best out of people – communication and briefings; recognising efforts and gaining commitment
  • How others perceive us – building relationships; winning friends and influencing people; building self-confidence
  • Building positive relationships within the team – recognising everyone’s potential and input
  • Assertive thinking, behaviour and body language – matching body language with behaviour
  • Giving constructive feedback; disagreeing, making requests and giving your opinion assertively 

Workshop 2  

  • Getting the best out of people – communication and briefings; recognising efforts and gaining commitment
  • How others perceive us – building relationships; winning friends and influencing people; building self-confidence
  • Building positive relationships within the team – recognising everyone’s potential and input
  • Assertive thinking, behaviour and body language – matching body language with behaviour

Workshop 3

  • Pre-prepared delegate individual presentations
  • Leading a team – barriers to team working; how teams form and behave; what makes a high performing team
  • Understanding motivation – and applying the techniques in the workplace
  • Developing others – identifying training gaps; organising on the job training; tips for effective coaching
  • Conclusions – review; action plans; moving ahead

Between Workshops 2 and 3, delegates will be required to prepare a presentation, and guidance will be provided on this exercise.
